The one and only Bread & Puppet Circus is coming to Hartford.

Join the Stowe Center for Literary Activism and First Presbyterian Church of Hartford for a raucous, colorful spectacle of protest and celebration, featuring puppets big and small, acts serious and silly, and performances both slapstick and sublime. Stilt dancers, papier-mâché beasts, and a riotous brass band come together in Bread & Puppet’s urgently needed radical theater tradition.

After the show, Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli. “Cheap Art” from the Bread & Puppet Press — books, posters, postcards, pamphlets, and banners — will also be available for purchase.
