Courageous conversations that inspire change for good.

Salons at Stowe are 21st-century parlor conversations about relevant topics such as race, class, gender, education, and social justice and activism.

Since 2008, Salons have provided a forum for lively discussion on contemporary topics that connect to 19th century issues. Featured guests provide a starting point for discussion and are resources for the audience as conversation explores the presented topic. A facilitator helps to ensure open dialog and a respectful and cooperative platform for discussion.

Winner of the CT Humanities Wilbur Cross Award, Salons at Stowe are one of the Stowe Center’s most popular events, drawing a diverse crowd of engaged community members.
