Mariangie Peña is a communications and marketing professional whose work bridges strategic storytelling, digital engagement, and community-centered design. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Media with a concentration in Strategic Communications from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from SUNY New Paltz.
At the Stowe Center, Mariangie has demonstrated a deep understanding of how storytelling and strategic communication can advance the organization’s mission to reimagine what a museum can be within an activist community. Her approach combines creative vision with data-informed strategy to connect audiences to the Stowe Center’s work and amplify its impact.
As Director of Marketing, Mariangie will lead the Stowe Center’s branding, communications, and outreach initiatives to expand engagement and strengthen the organization’s public identity. Her work will focus on developing cohesive, inclusive narratives that reflect the Stowe Center’s commitment to equity, activism, and the transformative power of words.
In addition to overseeing the Center’s marketing and communications strategy, Mariangie will continue to manage Stowe on the Go, the Stowe Center’s social enterprise that brings discussion-based, historically grounded social justice experiences to schools, corporations, and community organizations. Through this work, she will continue to work with the Stowe on the Go team to foster dialogue, understanding, and collaboration rooted in Harriet Beecher Stowe’s legacy of literary activism.
“I’m honored to continue growing with the Stowe Center and to help amplify its mission through creative, inclusive, and community-driven marketing,” said Mariangie Peña, Director of Marketing. “Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have for building understanding and inspiring change, and I’m excited to keep using that power to connect people with purpose.”
Mariangie brings to this role both strategic insight and a genuine belief in communication as a tool for connection and change. Her leadership reflects a new generation of innovators dedicated to shaping inclusive narratives and inspiring collective action through storytelling.
“Angie’s deep sense of justice combined with her communication skills and marketing expertise make her a perfect ambassador for the Stowe Center’s mission-driven messaging,” said Karen Fisk, Executive Director. “We could not be more fortunate to have her on Team Stowe.”
