The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center photographs and records its tours, programs, and events to share our work with the public and our supporters. This release applies to every tour, program, and event at the Center, on site or off. When you register, buy a ticket, or check the agreement box online, you accept these terms for yourself and anyone you register.

Grant of Permission

I grant the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, its staff, and those working on its behalf permission to photograph, film, and record my image, likeness, and voice, and to use those materials for educational, promotional, and fundraising purposes, including:

• The Stowe Center website, Stowe on the Go, and email newsletters
• Social media, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Printed materials such as flyers, brochures, posters, and annual reports
• Press releases and media coverage
• Grant applications and reports to funders
• Exhibitions, presentations, and the Center’s archives

The Center may crop, edit, or caption images as needed. The Center will not use my image in a way that is misleading or defamatory, and will not sell it to third parties for commercial use.

Terms

• No compensation. I will not receive payment or royalties for any use of these materials.
• Ownership. All photographs and recordings are the property of the Stowe Center.
• No approval required. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials before use.
• Release of claims. I release the Stowe Center from any claims arising from the authorized use of these materials.
• Duration and withdrawal. This permission has no expiration date. I may withdraw it for future use by writing to the Stowe Center. Materials already published or printed cannot be recalled.

Your Agreement

By checking the agreement box, registering, or buying a ticket, you confirm that:

• You are 18 or older, or you are the parent or legal guardian of any minor you register
• You have read and agree to this release
• You have the authority to accept these terms for everyone in your group or registration

Your online agreement has the same effect as a signed form.

Minors

A parent or legal guardian who registers a participant under 18 accepts this release on that minor’s behalf. The Stowe Center will not publish a minor’s full name with their image without separate written permission from a parent or guardian.

Opt-Out

If you do not want to be photographed or recorded, tell a staff member when you check in. We will give you a lanyard or sticker so our photographers know to avoid capturing you. You can also email us ahead of your visit at tickets@stowecenter.org.

To withdraw permission for future use of images already taken, email tickets@stowecenter.org with your name, the date of your visit, and a description of the images if you can.
